Introduction of book reads:
Friends To The End
Do you want to be happy, healthy, wealthy and wise? You may need a little help from your friends.
Happiness shared is multiplied. When we share life’s joyful moments and also those trying moments, our lives have an energy and fullness that we cannot achieve on our own. Similarly, no person achieved greatness on their own. They needed someone to hold the ladder steady while they climbed to the top, or at least advise them as to if they were leaning against the right wall.
Everyone needs a friend – whether they have two legs, four legs, are tall, short, furry or feathery. To go through life and to have never had a friend is to have never really lived. Friends are the seasoning in your life. Without their sprinklings, everything would seem bland. Friends keep us healthy. When we are sad they cheer us up. When they haven’t seen us for a while, it feels like it was only yesterday that we had seen them and that no time at all has passed.
A friend will be the first to comfort you when someone breaks your heart. A friend will also be the first to tell you that you have carrot stuck in your teeth before you are about to make a speech. A friend will be the first to stab you in the front and to make you smile again. An ounce of friendship is worth more than all those expensive psychiatry bills.
A friend is your earthly guardian angel. They sometimes foresee the worst but are always seeking the best for you. Sometimes they know you better than you know yourself. Friends help us see our own flaws, but also give us the opportunity to see theirs also. Friends offer us wisdom, both through their giving of it and through their examples – their mistakes.
Friends can often take you for granted, but they are granted this special privilege and are forgiven, as, after all, they are your friends. In difficult times, friends are always there, even when after all the acquaintances have long gone. A friend is the shoulder you can cry on, the outstretched arms to comfort you, the guiding words that set you straight, the wagging tail and the gentle purr that bring a smile to your face. A friend is always there for you. That’s why friend ends in ‘end’.
To Good Friends

DID YOU KNOW?
When you purchase this book, you plant 2 trees in Madagascar. That’s right, for every book you purchase you are helping to make a dramatic impact in the lives of the beautiful wildlife and the people that call this magical island home. Madagascar is the fourth largest island on Earth and over 80% of it’s wildlife are found nowhere else, including all of the world’s lemurs, most of which are critically endangered. Approximately 95% of Madagascar’s forests have been destroyed and many of the people that live there are very poor. Planting trees restores the environment and helps protect the wildlife, but it also gives the people an income and allows them to put food on their plates and send their children to school.
