When we are in the moment we experience bliss. This photo was taken at Broken Head near Byron Bay as the sun was beginning to rise over the Pacific Ocean.
If you want to be
happy ever now,
then begin embracing
the present moment
and letting go
of delaying happiness
till that perfect
future moment.

Happy ever after is the stuff of fairy tales.
Happy Ever Now
Happy ever now is the stuff of reality. Our level of happiness changes from moment to moment. Happiness can only ever be present in the now.
Become A Naturist
A simple way to experience joy and happiness now is to be come a ‘naturist’. I don’t mean you have to walk around in your birthday suit out in the bush. Simply, pay attention to the present moment – observeĀ how the sun moves across the sky and experience a sunrise or sunset. Simply be present to these moments. Have your ‘head in the clouds’ and look towards the heavens and watch how they constantly change shape as they travel across the sky.
A Little Ray of Sunshine
Simply by stopping for a moment in our busy lives we can gain awareness of the present. Observe how at different times of the day the sun’s rays are more intense than others. Sit in the sun for a few moments each day and allow your body to soak up the positive energy of the sun’s rays. We have been made aware of the harmfulness of the sun’s rays, but in moderation sunlight is very beneficial. It can literally, make us ‘feel good’. It can relax us, and it can fill us with ‘sunshine’ altering our mood for the positive, not to mention helping us produce vitamin D.
Awareness
Being present to our natural world we will begin to understand that nothing is permanent. We experience the seasons and sometimes we can experience all seasons in one day it seems. Your mood will similarly go through these changes. You will experience highs and lows. Happy ever after is not about being in a constant state of sameness but of difference.
Embrace Change
Embrace the fact that nothing stays the same. Change isn’t something to fear, but is as natural as the seasons. Every day just be present to what is – how you are feeling and know that happiness isn’t about being ‘happy ever after’ but experiencing ‘happiness ever now’.
